My editor, the lovely Terri Schaefer, loves my tagline! Woohoo! So I'll share. My tagline for Burning Souls is this:
"She has the gift of vision, but evil is closer than she thinks."
I kinda like it myself. Spooky, no?
*Happy dance*
That's all for now.

Taglines and Blurbs.
Just finished writing a blurb for the upcoming release, Burning Souls. I'm surprised I have any hair left. What a daunting task. Condensing an entire novella into a blurb. Ugh. I'm now trying to come up with a good tagline. I suck at taglines. I really do.
One of my favorites is from Alien. "In space, noone can hear you scream." Although I'd love to use something that creepy, I can't forget that this is also a love story. A creepy love story, but a love story none-the-less. Still, I'll probably come up with a creepy tagline anyway, and try to get away with it. I can't help it. I love the spooky stuff.
Halloween is coming soon! Yes it is! Woohoo! I have to start shopping for a costume for my little guy. Last year I bought his costume too early (excited as I was) and a day before Halloween I tried it on him to discover that *gasp* he was too big for it! So I had to tear around town trying to find a suitable costume for an 8 month old.
He ended up being a cute lion. I got lucky.
Anyway, I'm procrastinating. Back to work for me.

New Creepy Eserial
The first part of Douglas Clegg's new eserial The Locust is in his news letter today. Pretty neat, because it's in the first draft process, he's sending it out as he writes it. Sign up for his newsletter if you want to read it. I can't wait to have a few minutes to dig into the story. It sounds deliciously spooky.
Doulgas Clegg is one of the kings of spooky. If you like to be creeped out, check him out!
It's Friday! Woohoo!
It's way too hot and humid here today. I'm meeelting!

Cool
Got the first round of edits from my editor. Everything she suggests is right on the money. Funny how you can miss something that is so obvious to somebody who isn't so close to the story sees clearly.
Although, there are parts that made me feel uneasy, but I couldn't put my finger on it. She got it. Thank God. I guess I need to trust my instincts and really pay attention to those bits that tweak that uncomfortable feeling.
Sometimes the uncomfortable feeling is good. It means that I'm writing out of my comfort zone and growing as a writer. But other times it's because I know there's something not right about a scene, sentence, paragraph, character action or dialogue, whatever.
So back to it after work!

Catch Up
Hot and humid! Tough sleeping weather. Of course, when it gets cold I'll be bitching about that. Ha!
I'm behind in the writing. Had visitors over the weekend, my lovely niece, her husband and their 2 year old son. It was nice, but I'm behind on my word count now and I have to catch up.
Getting on the elliptical tonight to kick my own butt into gear. I need the energy and getting the heart rate up always helps. For some reason, exercise always gets the creative juices moving.
Mundane tasks do the same. Cleaning the bathroom. Washing the floor. Anything that allows my mind to wander.
Just getting over a cold, though, so I won't be as hard on myself with the elliptical as I usually am. We'll see how it goes.
Reading C.J Box's Blue Heaven. Excellent!

::Yawn::
This isn't good. I'm so tired. Ugh. Stayed up too late trying to watch No Country for Old Men, which seemed really good, but I kept nodding off. Determined to watch the damned movie, I stayed up until almost midnight. I guess we started watching it too late, and it's a 2 hour movie. So now I'm tired. I know better than to stay up that late. *Sigh*
So, I'm trying to wake up enough to write a few coherent paragraphs. I'm adding my Project Playlist to this blog. It's what I'm listening to right now. I love these tunes. Maybe the music will help jump start me.
Hope you all have a great day.
