It's been crazy! Saturdays are my day to try and catch up on things. Laundry, cleaning, all that stuff. The little one is sleeping, and I want to do some writing. But I'm aware of the floor needing washing and the bathroom needing cleaning. I've got laundry going.
So I'm compromising. I'll do some cleaning during his first nap today, and during the second I'll write. In the meantime I'm thinking about the story, so that I'm not wasting time.
It's the only way to go these days.
Anyone else feeling unbelievably harried and drained? I love Halloween, but I haven't even had time to get a pumpkin! Never thought I'd see the day.
I'm just knocking on wood right now that I haven't gotten sick. Everyone around me seems to be sick. Lots of people at work hacking away. I got Ben his first flu shot on Thurs. He has to go back in six weeks for the second. It's thrown him off, so he's not sleeping as well at night.
That means I'm not sleeping as well at night.
Oh well, that's the name of the game. Have a good weekend all!

October!
Holy hell! It's October. I can't believe it. This past year has gone by so fast, it's amazing. But this is my favorite month. My absolute favorite time of year. I'd be happy if it were October weather all year round. But also, this is the month when VH1 does it's 100 top scariest movies or scariest scenes, or something like that. I love it!
Fearnet is also showing free horror movies all month long. A couple of weeks ago they showed Firestarter. Love Stephen King. He still rocks my world. Nobody does it quite like he does. But there was also Rob Zombie's two movies, House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects, neither of which I've seen. There are a few others as well.
Fearnet allows you to watch some of their movies online. Pretty cool. I haven't had time to do so yet, but hopefully I'll get a chance at some point.
And I got Ben a really cute little bunting chili pepper costume. Too cute! Not sure how much he'll like being in it. But it's definitely sweet. Even has the pointed green head piece. I'll have to take lots of pics so that I can show his girlfriends when he's in his teens. Ha!
I've started the new story. Going pretty smoothly, actually. Writing in very small spurts when I can grab some writing time. I've got my lead character down, but her partner in crime isn't quite as clear to me. Hopefully he'll reveal more of himself as I continue to write the story.
Okay, off to it. I have a billion and one things to do today and hardly any time to do it!
