Ben and Me
I'm far to sleep deprived to do an actual post. I haven't slept more than a couple of hours a night since we brought the baby home. Except the first night when Benji got our hopes up and slept 5 straight hours! That was sweet! But he's been colicky and that means that I'm lucky to get two hours a night.

Z-z-z-z-z
Wow. Sleep deprivation is no joke. I'm walking around like a Zombie. You're supposed to sleep when the baby sleeps but I've had so many calls to make and appointments for both Ben and myself that I've only gotten in 3 naps since I brought him home. Not good.
On a sad note, our dog is having a tough time with the baby. She's extremely jealous and possessive of us and she growls at the baby. She's shown aggression toward him and that means that she has to go. We've had to keep rooms gated off and keep her separated. Her behavior is pretty frightening. She tries, because she knows we're not happy, but then Ben will cry or make a squealing noise and she growls or jumps right up. She treats him as if he were a small animal in her territory.
I don't have much luck with dogs. It's too bad. But I think I'll go without a dog for a while after I find her a good home. It's just too heartbreaking when it doesn't work out. This came as a total surprise to us. But Anatolians are natural guard dogs, that is what they were bred for, and so instinct is something you really can't break. It's not like a bad habit.
::Yawn:: I'm gonna grab a shower while I can. Later all.

Benjamin is Home
My Benjamin Bean is home! He was born on Feb 27th at 3:35 pm. He's the cutest little doodle-bug I've ever seen. I'm so sleep deprived and I can't even tell you how many diapers I go through (he pees just when I get the new one under his butt), and I change his little outfits about 10 times a day, because he pees or barfs all over them. But he's just everything to me and I can't stop gazing at him.
I won't go into the birth/labor story, because I assure you, you DON'T want to know. It was horrible, brutal, just the worst thing EVER. There were some complications and lets just say that I'm really, REALLY sore.
But here he is, the second love of my love. His daddy is my first. And every time I look at them both, I feel butterflies and just so lucky that I have them both in my life.
