Drive By

I haven't been around because I'm still trying to get the hang of juggling a full-time job and caring for an infant. I'm getting there. Doing pretty well with it, really. But when the little guys are this small they are very time consuming! Hehe. I barely have time for cleaning the house, or even eating lots of times, let alone blogging.

But I'll get better.

One thing I would like to say, though. DO NOT put your infant on Zantac. Benjamin had severe adverse reactions to it. We spent last sunday night into Monday afternoon in the hospital with him. He dispalyed seizure-like behavior and just seemed to get worse until we stopped giving it to him. They did blood work and an EEG and found nothing wrong with him.

Strangely, the hospital didn't think it was the Zantac. But since we took him off the drug, he's perfectly happy and healthy except for the acid reflux.

Turns out this drug hasn't be well tested on infants. So why are doctors prescribing it to them? I've heard of lots of infants on Zantac in the last little while. Seems to be the latest trend drug. If you know anyone with an infant, please let them know about Ben's reaction to Zantac.
